Solutions Alliance.
In addition, Dr. Zeigen is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist! His software has
been listed on the Apple Website for over ten years.
Medical Databases is committed to produce health care software solutions for the Macintosh and Windows platforms using FileMaker® Pro 5.5 and higher. Because so many medical office Macintosh users are still using legacy hardware and software that functions perfectly well (this also includes Windows users of older processor types) and our software products function so well on these computers, we see no reason to abandon FileMaker 5.5 for FileMaker Pro 9 or higher. However, we are currently rewriting ALL our software solutions in current versions of FileMaker and will deploy these solutions in the near future (after all Medical Databases is a major plug-in developer for FileMaker Pro). When this deployment happens, we will continue to support both the older and newer versions of our software, so do not despair legacy hardware users. Unlike other medical software developers we will not abandon you!
PracticeMaker®5.5 is our flagship product. It is an advanced medical office management system which has been in clinical use since 1991 and goes through continual refinements! For the submission of commercial insurance
claims, Medical
Databases is a sponsor with Iplexus. This means, that
except for a one time setup fee per physician, there will never be a per
claim charge for any participating insurance carrier when you use
PracticeMaker® to submit your electronic claims. There is a per claim
charge for non-participating insurance claims, Medicare, Medicaid and Blue
Shield if you choose to submit them thru MCS. For more information, check

Optical Shop Software™ is intended to bring software power to private and small opticians. There are mostly functional demos available for Mac OSX and Windows XP+.
This is our incredible, standalone professional appointment scheduler which is now available for Mac OSX! The PracticeMaker®5.5 includes these scheduling modules! Our scheduling software is being used by the National Cancer Institute!
A new Windows demo has been posted! After a long absence, The Dispenser™ has returned as version 5.5. The application can be used by any health care practice that must properly label and maintain inventory of prescription medications, such as weight loss clinics where narcotics are dispensed and must be strictly accounted for or student health clinics.
The
Dispenser™ uses the Dymo® Labelwriter to print several different size labels
and can now print barcode labels using the the standard UPC or any barcode up to
12 numbers long. The are many standard reports including patient ledgers and
profit reports.
