Eye Glass Record
The section for entering patient eyeglass information is shown below. This section is the first to appear when you either create a new record or click the Vision button in the patients record.

The Glasses Screen
The prescription fields are self explanatory. These field, except SPH and Prism, have pop-up lists allowing you to make quick selections. To edit the value in these list select Edit... at the bottom of this list. The circled buttons will transpose cylinder notations.

The field Remarks to print on prescription are printed on the prescription in the remarks sections. The Local notes field does not print on the prescription.

Previous Prescriptions and Remarks
This section stores all information on previous eyeglass prescriptions. The text is formatted so that, for the most part, information is in columnar format so that you can easily see trends in the prescriptions that have been dispensed (the font is "monospaced" so that each character has the same width). Warning: The data in the field can be edited freely so be careful!

There are two buttons associated with this section.
----- Previous Rx from approx: XX , entered by Scott Zeigen, M.D. -----
(OD: 20/xx) RxHere       (OS: 20/xx) RxHere

As mentioned above, the information in this field is editable at any time.

Printing Prescriptions
This module is capable of printing one eyeglass prescription per piece of paper. It is formatted to fill the top half of a page, which means you can use 5.5 x 8.5 paper in a dedicated printer. There is text on the bottom of the Rx that you can edit to say what you want. As of PracticeMaker 5.01 any password can edit layouts in the module.
